Laser Hair Removal 

Before Your Appointment

1. Avoid Sun Exposure:

  • Stay out of direct sun for 2 weeks before your appointment.

  • Do not use tanning beds or sunbathe.

  • Wear SPF 30+ daily if the area will be exposed to sunlight.

2. No Fake Tan or Tanning Products:

  • Avoid all self-tanners and spray tans for 2 weeks prior.

  • Your skin must be free of any tanning residue at your appointment.

3. Shave the Area:

  • Shave the area being treated 12–24 hours before your appointment.

  • Do not wax, pluck, or use depilatory creams 4 weeks before your session.

4. Be Cautious with Medications:

  • Some medications can make your skin sensitive to laser (such as certain antibiotics, acne meds, or retinoids).

  • Please let us know before your appointment if you are taking any medications so we can advise accordingly.

5. Clean Skin Only:

  • Please come with clean skin—no lotions, deodorant, perfume, oils, or makeup on the treatment area.

After Your Appointment

1. Avoid Sun Exposure Again:

  • Treated skin will be more sensitive. Avoid sun for at least 1 week post-treatment.

  • Always apply a broad-spectrum SPF to protect the area.

2. Skip the Heat:
For 24–48 hours after treatment, avoid:

  • Hot showers, baths, saunas, and steam rooms

  • Intense workouts or anything that causes sweating

  • Swimming pools and hot tubs

3. Be Gentle with Your Skin:

  • Don’t exfoliate or scrub the area for several days.

  • Avoid tight clothing that may rub against the treated area.

  • If needed, apply 100% aloe vera or a cold compress to soothe the skin.

4. Don’t Wax or Pluck:

  • You may shave between sessions, but avoid any method that removes the hair from the root.

IPL Facial Treatment

Before Your Appointment

1. Avoid Sun Exposure:

  • Stay out of direct sunlight for at least 2 weeks before your appointment.

  • No tanning beds or sunbathing.

  • Apply SPF 30+ daily to the treatment area.

2. No Fake Tan or Tanning Products:

  • Avoid all self-tanners and spray tans for 2 weeks prior.

  • Skin must be free of any tanning residue at the time of treatment.

3. Pause Active Skincare Ingredients:

  • Discontinue products with retinol, Retin-A, AHA/BHA acids, benzoyl peroxide, or exfoliants for 5–7 days before treatment.

  • Avoid harsh scrubs or peels.

4. Medications:

  • Some medications may cause sensitivity (e.g., antibiotics, Accutane, certain acne treatments).

  • Please inform us of any medications you're taking before your appointment.

5. Clean Skin Only:

  • Arrive with clean skin – no makeup, lotion, perfume, or oils on the face.

After Your Appointment

1. Expect Temporary Redness:

  • Redness and a mild sunburn sensation is normal and typically fades within a few hours to a day.

  • Pigmented spots may darken temporarily before flaking off.

2. Avoid Sun Exposure Again:

  • Continue to avoid direct sun for at least 1 week after your appointment.

  • Always apply broad-spectrum SPF daily.

3. No Heat or Sweating:
For the next 24–48 hours, avoid:

  • Hot showers, saunas, or steam rooms

  • Intense workouts

  • Swimming pools or hot tubs

4. Be Gentle with Your Skin:

  • Use a gentle cleanser and fragrance-free moisturizer.

  • Do not pick, scrub, or exfoliate until skin is fully healed.

  • Skip active ingredients (retinol, acids) for 5–7 days post-treatment.

5. Hydrate & Protect:

  • Drink plenty of water and keep your skin moisturized.

  • Avoid any facial treatments or waxing for at least 2 weeks.
